About this place.

A short note on what this website is, how it's built, and why it looks the way it does.

What this is

This is my digital garden. It's not a portfolio, not a company website, not a marketing page. It's where I think out loud about physical AI, character systems, presence, and what it means to build hardware that hosts a personality.

Posts here are rough, sometimes contradictory, and they change as my thinking changes. That's the point. A garden grows; a billboard doesn't.

How it's made

  • Next.js 16, App Router, hand-written code.
  • Designed and built in the editor, no templates, no page builders.
  • Edited with Trae (and occasionally Cursor when I'm in a different mood).
  • Particle background is WebGPU, rendered client-side.
  • Hosted on Vercel.

Typefaces

  • Instrument Serif for headings and italic emphasis.
  • Inter for body text.
  • Caveat for the handwritten notes and signature. (The logo signature is a real scan of my handwriting.)

Philosophy

I'm tired of AI-generated websites that all look the same—frosted glass, magnetic buttons, gradient orbs. This site is deliberately quieter. It uses a particle background because I like it, but it's dimmed so the text is what you read first.

The dashed underlines, scribble separators, and hand-drawn arrows are a small rebellion against sameness. They're not perfect. Neither is the thinking here.

This site is handmade. No templates, no AI slop.
